formed in the early 1970's in
Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, UK, Anglia Electrics soon established
a reputation for fast, friendly efficient service at reasonable
cost.
1980
we soon outgrew our original
premises and moved to our present site in Newtown Road Bishops
Stortford with fully equipped workshop room to stock a increased
range of spare parts as well as a shop floor space to display
a wide range of new and B grade appliances for which we became
well known. We were now carrying out service as a main agent
for both Philco and Candy and our area covered was rapidly increasing.
1986 
As domestic appliances became
more complex, with more electronics being introduced, Anglia
Electrics embraced the new technology by updating equipment and
increasing the range of spare parts stocked yet again. We also
now opened a dedicated Microwave oven service workshop.
1989
Now with customers needs becoming
more demanding, we improved our service to provide a faster call
out and faster return call if parts were needed. We also invested
in safety testing equipment such as portable appliance testers
to ensure all our repairs are tested to ensure customer as well
as our engineers safety.
1996
Now with fully computerised spare
parts ordering and stock control, the level of service had again
taken a major step forward. With instant pricing and availability
our spare parts supply service and mail order service is second
to none, with orders being dispatched all over Europe. We will
never forget that our business is built on providing service to
our local area which we are constantly striving to improve
1998
A major expansion into refrigeration
service with the investment in state
of the art equipment to recover the harmful to environment refrigerant
gases that are now being phased out but still much in use in domestic
fridges and freezers in almost every home. Our workshop can handle
all the outgoing refrigerants and are fully trained on handling
the new types now being widely sold in new fridges and freezers
in the high street.

2002
This year has seen a re-fit to our shop
as well as replacing our service vehicles while also adding experienced
staff to
our service team. We have also added the
prestige name of ASKO to our sales range.
2005
In order to concentrate all our resources
on service, we decided to leave our long time home in Newtown
Road. Although we no longer retail appliances we still constantly
improve our service levels and now accept on line spare parts
mail orders.
Our aim has always been to provide
a quality service equal to the original manufacture but at a reasonable
cost and at a faster response.
